PARADE RULES:
•The parade committee reserves the right to include only appropriate groups.
•Make yourselves known! Please carry banners or signs identifying your group. The crowd loves floats.
•For the safety of our children, please do not throw or hand out candy or other items!
•Alcohol is not permitted in the parade or staging area.
•Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
•All vehicles and floats must conform to standard safety regulations.
•No dangerous acrobatic stunts or political campaigning of any kind.
•Parade groups with animals of any kind must provide people to perform immediate “pooper scooper” duties. This is to be fair to the groups following you.
•The parade (line of march) is continuous, units do not stop in front of the reviewing stand, nor any other place to preform.
To ensure safety and order, please respect and follow the guidance of the Parade Safety Crew.
Parade start time 1PM
Parade Entrance:
All entries with vehicles and floats must enter the parade route on Cumberland Ave by Georgia Pacific.
•IMPORTANT: Please designate a “Group Leader” to represent your group and sign in at the registration tent near Wilcox Dock area. If you are walking to the parade area from the south please sign in at the information table near the former Elk’s Lodge. It is important for us to know that you have arrived, especially since last-minute changes in the line-up are often necessary.
The week of the parade, you will be sent via email, a list of further instructions.
Register as soon as possible, you greatly assist the committee in planning the most
appropriate line-up. Further instructions and rules will be online when you register.
